The ISU Beta Rho Chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron National Honor Society is raising funds to help cover the following:
Professional Project: This annual project promotes academic excellence and enhances leadership skills by allowing our chapter to utilize the skills and knowledge learned in Family and Consumer Science (FCS) to serve the community. This year’s project focuses on healthy eating while highlighting the different aspects of Family and Consumer Sciences. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the different majors in our field by having dietetics students conduct a food demonstration on how to create healthy spring rolls, while other students share about their field within FCS. We are excited to demonstrate to the public the skills that we have learned in Family Consumer Science at ISU.
Conclave: This is a national meeting held every other year. It provides our members with professional growth, leadership development, guest speakers, professional project presentations, and the opportunity to make lifelong connections. This year, it will be held at Texas Tech University. Our goal is to send at least one person to this meeting to represent our chapter and connect with other FCS students. Donations will help cover travel and registration fees.
Thank you for your support. We are excited to be able to represent ISU with these opportunities.
