Six Diesel Technology students are representing our program in a national skills competition, where they will compete against top technicians from all 50 states. This event evaluates not only advanced technical abilities, but also safety practices, professionalism, and industry standards—key qualities required of today’s diesel technicians.
In addition, five Diesel Technology students will compete in the Heavy Equipment Operations division, also against competitors from across all 50 states. This competition highlights the highest level of skill, precision, and operational competency in the field.
The students are currently raising funds to support their travel and participation in the competition. Earning a first-place gold medal at the state level will qualify them to advance to the national competition. A first-place finish at nationals would then provide the opportunity to compete at the world level—an achievement that would place them among the best young technicians globally.
These students have dedicated countless hours to developing their technical knowledge, safety awareness, and professional skills, and they are proud to represent their program and state on this competitive stage.
